Unofficial Warhammer 40,000 Game Mode

The Colosseum is a unique 500 point format that we have been having a tonne of fun playing on our channel with and for our membership.

Each mission and deployment is exactly the same, but that doesn’t mean each game is!  The matches are incredibly challenging to play as each unit risked and potentially lost can make a big impact on the game outcome.

Battlefield and Terrain Set

This complete mat and terrain set will get you playing the popular King of the Colosseum format as seen on Play On Tabletop. The battlefield mat comes with pre-marked objectives and terrain layout making it fast to set up and get to playing.

FULL COLOUR: Frontline Gaming has produced the terrain and mat in full colour. No painting required. Just assemble it and it looks amazing on the tabletop and creates an immersive setting.

EASY TO BUILD: We have build the terrain set in around 2 hours numerous times. We are confident you can too. If not, you might be able to build even faster than we did.

All kits come unassembled!

This set comes with:

  • 4x Colosseum outer walls.
  • 8x Short Ruins
  • 1x Neoprene Battlefield mat

Rules as seen on King of the Colosseum on Play On Tabletop . Using CHAPTER APPROVED

LIST BUILDING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must include at least one character who is designated as your Warlord.
  • No epic heroes.
  • Must include two units that are infantry and not characters.
  • No units can be toughness 10 or higher. Toughness 9 is the maximum toughness.
  • New for 2026: Rule of One! You can only include one of each unit in your army, except Battleline and Dedicated Transports units which you are allowed two of the same unit. ( For example: You can take two Intercessor Squads in your army as they are Battleline, but would only be allowed one Aggressor Squad as they are under Other Datasheets ).
  • Enhancements are allowed.
  • List Maximum Points is 500.
  • All other standard List building rules for a Warhammer 40,000 Matched Play Game apply.

CHAPTER APPROVED VERSION

Winner of the roll off to determine Attacker / Defender. Defender to choose the TWIST and Attacker to choose the MISSION.

TWISTS AVAILABLE:
Ruinscape, Adapt or Die, Lords of War, or Point Blank.
